What do I plan to gain from English 1101...

This is the first blog I have ever written, I'm honestly not quite sure what to say. I am a Freshman at Macon State College and our professor asked us to write what we would like to get out of our first English class. English has always been a strong point for me, math and I just do not agree. lol I think that I will thoroughly enjoy Professor Aiken's class due to the fact that two of the people I went to high school with are in my class and she seems to be very upbeat. I believe that if you truly enjoy the class and the teacher you will get a lot out of it. I would say that basically I am looking to strengthen my writing skills and to work on my grammar. I spell fairly well, but when it comes to commas and semi colons I'm kind of at a loss. :) I would love to make an "A"...haha but really I just want a class to enjoy. I am very talkative and my mind runs constantly..so trying to figure out what to say comes naturally. Creative writing is probably my favorite type of writing just because it allows you to express yourself and write about whats interesting to you. I also enjoy making up stories for a class because when I was little I thought about being a writer. Although, as I got older my interest changed drastically. My major is nursing and I plan on pursuing a practitioner degree and specialize in pediatrics. I am looking to forward to seeing what English 1101 has in store for me!!
